Hi Everyone,
We have two new kids at the shelter.
Gizmo is a 3-4 year old dark eyed white boy that came from Animal services Toronto South. He is super sweet and is adjusting to the shelter very nicely but he is adrenal and until we can take care of that I doubt he will get along with anyone. I tried with out any success.
Dora (the name for “gift” in Greek) is a 4 month old sable baby girl. She came from a home and brought FLEAS with her. I did not notice until she run for 10 minutes in the other ferret room and was in her cage for another 15 minutes. So I removed 4 fleas from the poor girl, gave her two flea baths and treated her with Advantage. Unfortunately her first night at the shelter was not very good and she is very stressed. Please give her extra hugs and kisses until she finds some friends to play with.
I also treated everyone else with Advantage just in case. Please do not have anyone run in the other ferret room until we spray, better to be extra safe.
Bailey and Tommy were their usual goofy selves. They have been squabbling a great deal so please make sure they each go in their OWN cages. Bailey likes to knock off his water bottle so I reinforced it with a twist tie.
Gloria and Laura are surprising still very sweet and gentle. I was hoping that they would be adopted by now but the family that was interested is taking their time.
Hercules has moved cages, he is now below Sophie. He and Sophie are still getting along really well, he has certainly become a Ladies Man! Sophie is becoming sweeter and more every time I see her. I guess the adrenal surgery really helped her.
Have a good week everyone!
