Garage Sale

Hi everyone. FAS is having our annual garage sale on July 7 & 8 this year. If ANYONE has anything they would like to donate for the sale, please let me know. This year's sale is very important to help pay some very urgent bills coming up in July and the funds are much needed in order for the shelter to keep going.

We may be able to pick up some items but the majority will have to be dropped off at the shelter. Any and all items are welcome!

Anyone in the neighborhood on July 7 & 8? The sale will be at 135 Fifth St in Toronto. For Mapquest, look for 5th Street

Run Groups 11-JUN-2007

Amanda and I ran 3 groups, total of 4 ferrets. Hercules, Tommy, Sophie and the Nameless One (we don't know his name and Randy couldn'tremember).

Hercules: is an albino hob with a funny looking eye. He was a great deal of fun to play with. He is very gentle. He dooked the entire time he was out. He loved the tunnel especially when one of my hands was inside tickling him. The only time he bites is when playing the tunnel and even then his bites are not hard. I like this guy alot...really, really like this guy.

Tommy: sable hob and most certainly a juvenile. He also was a great deal of fun to play with. Again very gentle and only bit when being tickled in the tunnel. He was less sure of himself at first. He needs time to get to know you. Once he does though he will lick your face if you let him. Dooked a lot, ran around a lot, and loved to be played with. This is another ferret I really, really like.

Sophie and the Nameless One: Sophie has friggin sharp teeth! She definitely doesn't like males. She nipped at Amanda as well but nearly as much as she did on me. The Nameless One keeps Sophie in her place - when he can catch her. The door between the rooms wasn't attached last
night so Sophie gave it a push and nearly crushed herself last night. Do be careful with this little missy as she's trouble. The Nameless One is totally harmless by contrast and a great kisser (just ask my wife).

That's what happened last night.

Cheers, Robert and Amanda

PS. Can someone please email the group with the "Nameless One's" name.

Elvis and Hardy's Bath Day

Hi Everyone

Elvis and Hardy had a bath on Sunday. Elvis was first and was a very good boy. After he was dried off and combed he pranced around the house with that “don’t I like totally gorgeous” look on this face. We all proceeded to tell him how handsome he looked and he just strutted like a peacock. He was also feeling very playful. Elvis and my Dad had a great time playing tag – very cute. Hardy was not at all thrilled about his bath time. He was good while having his bath but after we dried him off and combed him he just slumped about the house looking like “Ewww – I smell nice – I don’t smell like a ferret!!!” It took him a few hours to forgive us and decide that it wasn’t so awful. Poor little guy.
