Another Saturday done with and all is well.
What, did you expect more?
Oh all right here goes.
Bailey and Tommy came out first and they played hard
Not sure who was getting the best of this, Bailey whines a lot and Tommy pounces a lot, on Bailey. Tommy reminds us a lot of our Fabian.
Tommy also knows how to beg and get your attention, notice the perfect poise, using his paws for balance.
While the boys were out I decided to see if one of the girls would work with them, so I brought out Gloria. Why Gloria, well I figured she could best handle it.
She ignored both boys, except for a cursory sniff at Tommy’s butt then she headed for the tubes. Poor Bailey couldn’t handle this; she drove him from the tubes each and every time he tried to get into them. He did jump her once but she shrugged him off and ignored him although he tried to jump on her. We put her back to save some stress on both sides. She really did not want to go back in the cage. Laura stayed put, I don’t think she could have handled it. With Bailey trying to jump on Gloria we thought she might be putting off an adrenal smell he was picking up.
As Pup and Sophie, had been picked up so Pup could get some constant TLC as he is not doing well, that left us with only Laura and Gloria to come out.
Sophie in all her glory. Playful Pup, let’s hope he get’s back to this.
Laura and Gloria came out and both got a really good hug from me. I have found that if you do that, neither will nip me. But it has to be a really slow gentle hug and a couple of kisses to the top of the head. No nips yet. Sorry no pics. I had to go out for awhile from the ferret room so I left them at the mercy of BONNIE.
They survived, but you should see Bonnie. (just Kidding). Laura really is so dependent on Gloria, the bond on her part is very strong. When I put her back in her cage she desperately tried not to go until Gloria was put in as well. Then they curled up together and went to sleep. They are now in the same cage together. A lovely pair. Oh, and did I tell that Gloria sometimes can’t keep her feet on the ground, ….boy, can she climb.!!!!
That appears to all for now, Oh unless you want a bit of an update on Higgins.
Well, our crowd stick together, in thick and thin, in sickness and in …………………………….oh bull, well,… see for yourselves.
Our little Dew decided Higgins needed caring for, so……
Dew made sure he stayed warm. Higgins is still quite weak but has managed to get up stairs, (3 steps) by himself. Vet has suggested his problems could be adrenal related so he will probably get unzipped soon. Send him your best wishes.
And that, folks, was Saturday.
